north holland, 2024-2025

six large multidisciplinary portraits in audio, drawings, and photography of diverse communities in north holland created by the stratenmakers for the exhibition collective exhibition gezichten van noord-holland (faces of north holland).  portraits: langs de dijk (about dike residents) monnikendam roept mij (about a family from burundi living in monnickedam) het land op (on farmers and agricultural seasonal workers) langs de kust (about coastal residents and visitors) leven in het ecodorp (about live in an ecovillage), ov langs de zee (about public transport travelers and staff), de stilte van het sint liobaklooster (about a monastery community)

the stratenmakers work across multiple disciplines—such as photography, drawings, and objects—centered around audio stories. these six portraits were exhibited at the amsterdam museum in 2024 and at the frans hals museum in haarlem in 2025.
