baltic sea journey

baltic sea 2023 -2024

a nomadic archive around the baltic sea, an exercise on archivism and heritage, for which we moved around the baltic sea for a month, traveling and living in a camper van, a vehicle we also used to collect and exhibit the archive of portraits, audio stories, pictures, and objects, all gathered on the road. the archive is the result of the continuous interaction with the people and the landscape, an action that connected lives, stories, and places from the baltic region, around the questions of territory, identity, memory, and history.

the archive moved, grew and expanded as it traveled across lithuania, latvia, estonia, finland, aland, and sweden. created in collaboration with artist jesper buursink, and made, among many others, in cooperation with nida art colony and the art residency nart.
